Inequalities are also in women hiring. Often, the fair sex is denied, because employers fear they are gone in the decree. At the same time as an excuse can be called anything, including little experience and low skill levels.
To date, a number of occupations considered to be purely "masculine" or "female". In most cases, the girl refused, if it tries to get "male" job, and vice versa. Nevertheless, experts say, increasingly senior positions in the Ukraine took the fairer sex, that is, we can speak of a gradual change in attitudes.
Over the past ten years the service sector became the main employer of women. Previously, women were mainly employed in agriculture. In the service sector work 46.3% of women (for men the figure is 40,4%), whereas in the agricultural sector employs 36.1% of women (34% men).
However, the most common occupations among women - the sellers and doctors, and among men - the programmers.
The ILO notes that the best way to do the work for women's situation in East Asia. Here the female employment rate is 65,2% of women, whereas the global average is lower - 49,1%.
There is a suggestion that men earn more because more is taken for an uncomfortable and unpleasant work, for example, agree on long trips, for work in hazardous conditions, work related to financial risk, etc. In turn, women prefer a more secure and nice job with flexible working regime.
