28.07.09 Number of foreigners coming to work in Belarus increases.
The bulk of foreign workforce comes from Russia, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and even the US. They work in the catering business, construction and at marketing departments. No license will be needed to employ labor migrants in the near future.
(Alexander Tatura, Head of the Citizenship and Migration Department at the Belarusian Interior Ministry; \"This shows that the migration attractiveness of the labor market in our state is interesting for foreign workers. It is also linked to the implementation of multiple investment projects in Belarus, particularly in the construction field.\")
Indian cuisine is popular across the entire world. A new Indian restaurant will be opened in Minsk soon.
(Vishal Jain, director general of the Indian restaurant: \"We employed specialists from India, as Russian people do not have experience in our national cuisine.\")
The number of labor migrants will be increasing. Cooks and experts in Indian cuisine will come to Belarus in the near future.
A new edition of the law \"On External Labor Migration\", which might simplify the hiring process, is being elaborated now. The majority of licenses for recruiting migrants are issued for up to 10 people only. This is fairly insignificant considering the current situation on the labor market. The new edition of the law will not open the Belarusian market for the flow of migrants, so there will not be any competition for local employees.
