18.08.09 President Viktor Yushchenko concerned over situation with financing of programs on liaisons with Ukrainian Diaspora
The President\'s letter to the Premier says that compared to 2005-2008, this year\'s financing of the budget program on maintaining liaisons with Ukrainians living abroad and establishing cultural liaisons with the Ukrainian Diaspora was significantly reduced.
Yushchenko expressed confidence that the crisis is not a prerequisite for inactivity, quite the contrary, it should serve as an impetus to coordinated actions, the overall mobilization of the financial, spiritual and informational potential of the Ukrainian nation, as well as a wider involvement of the Ukrainian Diaspora in the current constructive processes in Ukraine.
