14.05.10 In Ukraine for one workplace - eight people
The number of registered in the government service employment in 2009 decreased by 41% - up to 542.8 thousand. (On the 1 January 2009 were 930,000 officially unemployed), but in December compared to November increased by 1%, or 5400 people.
It means that almost 2% of employable population of Ukraine can not find the application and have to live on the allowance of 650 hryvnias per month.
Employers have reduced over the past year the number of vacancies in their applications for nearly one quarter - to 86.5 thousand to 65.8 thousand, while in December 9,6 thousand (46%) of refusals
of entrepreneurs from the previously announced vacancies happened.
According to the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, MP Basil Jara, 2% of the unemployed - an incorrect number,
in fact it is much more and is approximately 15% because they do not reflect many factors, such as the shadow economy. It employs up to 6 million people who are not mentioned in the statistics of unemployed.
Goskomstat also does not consider several millions of people who are on an unpaid leave.
