Labor migration has a positive impact on the development of Norwegian society and because of this the authorities in Norway make conditions to skilled foreign workers to have an opportunity to work in Norway.
For work in Norway, most foreign workers must obtain a work permit. For more information on what rules and guidelines apply to different countries, as well as the types of work permits can be found by visiting the website of the Directorate of Immigration.
Note that for the citizens of the European Union (EU) / European Economic Area (EEA) and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) are special rules.
